You likely want to cut the yarn when doing single color rows or the large stripes. See where there are two rows worked at a time? Go ahead and carry the yarn up the sides at those sections. There are color changes, but in much of the pattern you can carry the yarn up the sides so that you can avoid weaving in the ends. 🙂īasically, if you can do a half double crochet stitch, you can make this blanket. They also both happen to be really trendy colors right now. I also love the contrast of the fading “Canyon Sunset” color and the “Grey Heather” as the Grey Heather reminds me of night, and the Canyon Sunset of day break. I named this the Equinox Blanket as each of the major striping patterns represent half of the blanket, much like the day of equinox is equally split.
See the free pattern below, or you can grab the ad-free, printable from my Etsy Shop HERE ( Members grab your download here) (I used this stitch in the pattern from my Vail Topper as well!) It uses half double crochet stitches which are worked in the spaces rather than the stitches, and this gives the fabric a unique appeal.
Today’s free pattern is for a simple, modern blanket made with a basic but beautiful stitch! The stripes fade together for a soothing look, and you can use any colors that you like.
